People and payroll reports: HR cost, turnover and severance liability with individual privacy

Headcount, turnover, overtime, payroll cost and severance liability are asked with ready-made commands in Mind. Payroll cards show only totals and breakdowns; no per-person pay is written.

The questions of an HR or finance manager are usually totals: how many employees do we have, what is our turnover, how much is payroll cost, where is our severance liability. Answering them doesn't require seeing pay per person. iyibir Mind's people and payroll reports are built accordingly: they show only totals and breakdowns.

Which commands there are

People and payroll is one of Mind's 16 business areas. The commands you pick from the menu after typing / in the question box are:

  • /people-overview: employees, leave, overtime and payroll cost.
  • /headcount-overview: headcount by organization and period.
  • /employee-turnover: employee turnover rate based on hires and exits.
  • /attendance-overview: attendance, absence and working days.
  • /leave-overview: leave balance, leave taken and leave plan.
  • /overtime-overview: overtime hours and cost.
  • /payroll-overview: payroll cost and staff expense.
  • /people-cost: HR cost by organization.
  • /severance-liability: the gross severance pay that would be due if all employees left today having earned entitlement, the severance ceiling and the accounting provision.
  • /severance-paid: severance and notice pay paid in the period, by month and department.

After the command you type the period, such as /headcount-overview son 12 ay (last 12 months) or /overtime-overview geçen çeyrek (last quarter).

Individual privacy

Payroll data is sensitive and Mind handles that with a rule. Payroll cards show only totals and breakdowns. Groups of fewer than three people are folded into "Diğer" (Other). Pay per person is not written on any card. The guide's answer to "Does Mind show salaries per person?" is one word: no.

You select the payroll institution first

People and payroll commands read only the data of the payroll institution you selected. The payroll institution is an optional choice on the working scope screen after sign-in and appears only if a payroll database is defined in iyibir PaaS Agent. If no institution is selected, the command says so and asks you to select one on the scope screen. You can also change the institution from the scope menu at the top right. The payroll institution isn't part of a conversation's scope; payroll commands read the institution selected at that moment.

A payroll card isn't refreshed if the payroll institution it was drawn for isn't selected; for the card's "Yenile" (Refresh) button you first select that institution in the working scope.

Questions you can ask

  • How is headcount distributed across the organization? (/headcount-overview)
  • How did hires and exits over the last 12 months affect turnover? (/employee-turnover)
  • How many overtime hours and how much overtime cost this quarter? (/overtime-overview)
  • What is HR cost by organization? (/people-cost)
  • If everyone left today having earned entitlement, how much severance would be paid and how much is provisioned in accounting? (/severance-liability)

After the report runs you can continue in the same conversation: "Geçen ayla karşılaştır." (Compare with last month.) Follow-up questions keep the previous report's period and board context.

What the severance liability report shows

/severance-liability reduces today's position to a single question: the gross severance pay due if all employees left today having earned entitlement. The card places this next to the severance ceiling and the accounting provision. /severance-paid shows the severance and notice pay actually paid in the period, by month and department.

Before sharing the board

Shared questions of finance and HR

Payroll cost and headcount concern two managers at once. The finance side looks at staff expense with /payroll-overview and at HR cost by organization with /people-cost. The HR side looks at headcount with /headcount-overview, at hires and exits with /employee-turnover, and at attendance and working days with /attendance-overview. Commands run in the same conversation gather on a single board, and the two teams look at the same number from the same source.

On the leave side, /leave-overview gives the leave balance, leave taken and the leave plan. For overtime, /overtime-overview shows hours and cost together; to see where overtime cost sits within payroll cost you move on to /payroll-overview and a follow-up question.

How grouping and "Diğer" appear

If a breakdown has a group of fewer than three people, that group doesn't appear as a separate slice; it is folded into "Diğer" (Other). The total of the breakdown doesn't change; only the separation for the small group isn't shown. Because pay per person isn't written, tables don't carry an employee name together with pay either.

A sample HR board

For the monthly management meeting, run /headcount-overview, /employee-turnover, /overtime-overview, /people-cost and /severance-liability in the same conversation. The five commands fill a single board: headcount, turnover, overtime, cost and liability side by side. You see each card's source with "Nereden?" and on the morning of the meeting redraw them with current data using "Yenile". Because payroll cards are drawn for the selected payroll institution, the person opening the board needs to keep the same institution selected.

A board you share is visible to everyone in your company. Even though payroll cards contain no per-person data, it makes sense to think about who will see a board before sharing it. Sharing is done under a name and is read-only; a colleague can't change the board and opens their own copy with "Bu panodan başla" (Start from this board).
